RADIOHEAD rocked Scotland with possibly the best concert of the year on Tuesday.

The band's sell-out date at Glasgow's Barrowland was the first on their UK tour - and they showed why they are fast becoming one of the top-rated live bands in the world.

Fresh from American concerts with Soul Asylum and REM, the Hallowe'en show included songs from their LPs Pablo Honey and The Bends.

And though every song was a highlight in its own right, Fake Plastic Trees and Creep were superb. And the group's stunning song, Lucky, is featured on the Help EP.

No wonder REM's Michael Stipe says: " Radiohead are so good, they're scary."
