Awards and Recognition
In December of 1997, Green Plastic Radiohead was featured on MTV Europe's show Up For It. The screen shot below was when Green Plastic was at it's old url.
I also had the opportunity to help out the Radiohead biography, From A Great Height, written by Jonathan Hale.
Open Directory "Cool Site".
Green Plastic was included in the Belgian magazine, Humo, a long with some other Radiohead sites in December 1999.

Translation: "The way Radiohead adjusted the laws of rock music on Ok Computer, that way Grant Gee apparently adjusted the rules of the 'rockumentary'. On account of his portrait of Radiohead (Meeting People Is Easy), the press reports exult about 'a schizophrenic montage'. Fortunately there is music: fragments of concerts, clips and demo's. ARTE airs this rockumentary on Saturdaynight. Radiohead-sites to keep you warm: The Official Site (bizarre), The Panic Button, Green Plastic and Follow Me Around." Thanks to Leen Smet

Ultimate Bulletin Board "Site of the Week".

Every once in a while, I come across a site that really blows my socks off. This is one of them. Green Plastic Radiohead is an absolute tour de force of a fan site, with smashing design, easy navigation, and a hip but not obnoxious sensibility. …Memo to Radiohead….sign this webmaster on as your official designer now!!! The content is spiffy, too; there’s band info, tour dates, lyrics, photos, shopping resources, a guide to Oxford (where the band originated), and in addition to the usual Discography…a "gigography," a compilation of every gig the band has ever played! Of course, there is also a spanking new UBB forum, so feel free to drop by and say hello.

Rock and Folk Magazine (French) named #1 fan site
Translation: "One of the most complete, constantly updated and with a great graphic design". (thanks to Xavier for the scan!)
Green Plastic was recognized in the October 2000 issue of Yahoo! Internet Life. Here is an excerpt from page 46:

"As you might expect, the band has a somewhat creative and expressive online following. Green Plastic Radiohead offers news and information, includinga thorough list of performances and a handy guide to landmarks in Oxford, England, that are associated with the band members' time as students there."

Orten.org Best Website Of The Week Award (Week 52) The reason why you were chosen is out of the criterias; content, graphics, layout, and site navigation. Also things like loading time is evaluated. I really like your layout, it's very clean and easy to navigate. Your content is of VERY high quality, you must have spent some time on it..! Altogether it makes a great resource for Radiohead fans. Good job!
Soapbox Internet's Internet Hub of the Week. February 22, 2001

With Radiohead's recent release, Kid A, and their upcoming album Amnesiac, the buzz on the band is frantic. Because of this, all the major Radiohead sites are working overtime to keep there content fresh, and their news updated. Since they are all basically getting the same news, greenplastic separates itself from the crowd by its wonderful interface and original artwork. The kid who keeps this thing up (solo) must have no trace of a social life whatsoever... bad for him, good for us, enjoy.
